Not even close. I think this stand was maybe designed for use primarily in countries where the average height of the user is closer to 5'7". I bought this stand because it was listed by Amazon as fitting the Delta variable speed 6" grinder I bought. If you are taller than that, you probably will find the height to be uncomfortably low. You can fabricate a simple pole stand (at the correct height for you) and anchor it to the floor and spend a lot less than what you will pay for this stand. I will need to fabricate an adapter plate to mount the grinder. There is no way to adjust the height other than to put the entire stand on a platform or add a spacer between the stand and the grinder.
Finally, the price of the stand seems ridiculously overpriced. It does not fit. I can't think of why else it should be so low. That may be a blessing in disguise, because the stand itself is apparently made for people shorter than 5'7". It is about 4 or 5 inches too low for me. I only bought it because it came in a package deal, but to buy it alone, it is simply not worth it. If it had a height adjustment and an adapter plate included, the price would have been acceptable.
Went together fast, nice and strong. If I had a need, I would buy another just like it.
This is not a difficult thing to do, but it's a good idea. The Delta sales literature doesn't tell you this either. It will need to be bolted and bracketed to the floor for stable operation. I bought this exact same stand on eBay for less than half the money. Including shipping, mine cost around $28.00. On the good side, it is easy to assemble and is 32" high for most people of average height.
I had to drill my own holes.
As you can see from looking closely at the picture, there are only two holes drilled().
If you simply MUST have this stand, buy it from eBay.
It's made in China, of course, ("they" called it a "Pit Bull" stand) and it is not really heavy enough.
If you're taller, like I am, you may want to consider a taller (35") stand.
and they are in the MIDDLE of the mounting plate (.).
I don't know a your grinder, but mine mounts with a more traditional four bolt pattern.
There are hundreds of people reselling Chinese made tools there and they are easy to find.
I hope this help you and Good Luck with your own dreams.
